Fighting Spirit Shown at Monza Despite Challenging Weekend

The latest round of the McLaren Trophy Europe took place at the legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza, where Zac Meakin and teammate Harry faced one of the toughest weekends of the season so far. Battling in the scorching Italian sun, the pair showed determination and fight, but persistent mechanical issues ultimately hampered their chances of securing the result they were aiming for.

From the outset, the pace was clear, with the pair showing strong speed in practice. However, as the weekend unfolded, technical setbacks struck at crucial moments, preventing Zac and Harry from converting that potential into points.

Despite the frustrations, both drivers dug deep, pushing hard in every session and demonstrating resilience under difficult circumstances. While the final results didn’t reflect the team’s true performance, the weekend at Monza reinforced the strength of the partnership and the determination to bounce back.

Zac commented:

“It was a really tough weekend with the mechanical issues, especially in the heat at Monza, but these things happen in racing. We showed glimpses of what we’re capable of, and now the focus is on coming back stronger at Spa. With the team behind us, I know we’ll be ready to fight again.”

The championship now heads to Spa-Francorchamps, where Zac and Harry will race on one of the most iconic stages in world motorsport – the 24 Hours of Spa support programme. With the pace in the car and a renewed determination, the duo will be looking to turn their fortunes around and get back into the fight at the front.
