Zac Secures 2nd Place at Brands Hatch

The 2025 McLaren Trophy Europe season kicked off in style over the weekend of 2–4 May, with Zac Meakin and teammate Harry Burgoyne delivering a standout performance at the opening round. The duo came away with a superb P2 finish in Race 1, immediately marking themselves as serious contenders.

Across practice and qualifying, the pairing showed strong pace, consistently running at the sharp end of the timesheets. In Race 1, Zac and Harry converted that speed into results, fighting hard against experienced rivals to secure a podium on debut. The P2 finish not only highlights their potential as a partnership but also sends a clear message to the rest of the grid: they’re here to fight at the front.

Speaking after the race, Zac said:

“To start our McLaren Trophy Europe campaign with a podium is an incredible feeling. The car was fantastic all weekend, and Harry and I worked really well together to deliver this result. It’s a great platform to build on for the rest of the season.”

Race 2 brought its own challenges, but the team’s strong opening result ensures momentum heading into the next rounds. With a podium already secured at the first attempt, expectations are high for what Zac and Harry can achieve as the season progresses.

The McLaren Trophy Europe continues later this month as the championship moves on to its next European venue, where Meakin and Burgoyne will be aiming to go one better and challenge for the top step of the podium.
